OOO “KNGK-INPZ” (Ilsky NPZ) was a partner of a professional conference “Oil and Gas Russia, CIS online”, which brought together flagship O&G producing and processing companies, chemical and petrochemical facilities from Russia and the CIS. This year, technical networking and discussions work out in virtual format.
Forum participants were interested to know about a current modernization project and Ilsky Refinery’s preparation to provide high-quality and environmentally friendly products to new markets. More than 300 representatives of enterprises from Russia and neighboring countries, as part of an online tour, visited the existing production and construction site and witnessed construction process of a primary oil refining Crude Vacuum unit AT-6 at its final stage.
Deputy General Director for Production and Materials Management Andrey Tagirov and Vice President for Prospective Development Maria Kovtun participated in the discussion on the investment project for technical re-equipment of Ilsky Oil Refinery.
The participants were particularly interested in measures taken to reduce environmental impact, which Andrey Tagirov spoke about in detail.
– In addition to the existing system of deep wastewater treatment, we are introducing advanced innovative technologies for biological treatment with a membrane biological reactor, fine cleaning technology by the method of reverse electrodialysis with an evaporation unit. The expansion of production does not imply an increase in the volume of discharged treated water. We plan to water recycle in the production process, he reports.
The experts were also interested what other ways of expanding the refinery’s capacities were considered and why the decision was made in favor of building the Production Complex of Gasoline and Aromatic Hydrocarbons (KPAAU). Maria Kovtun, among other factors, named the reform of the Ministry of Energy in 2011, which stimulates Russian oil refineries to increase the share of gasoline among petroleum products to stabilize the domestic market. The decision in favour of this development program of the refinery was also influenced by the shortage of Euro-4 and Euro-5 gasoline in the Krasnodar Territory.
The management of KNGK-INPZ would like to thank the organizers of “Oil and Gas Russia, CIS online” forum, as well as all the participants for an interesting and productive meeting. Such professional conferences help you to keep up with top innovations and effective solutions in project management, operations, automation, industrial safety and environmental technologies in refineries.
