As part of a modernization project, Ilsky Oil Refinery goes ahead with construction of the most powerful processing unit AT-6.
Fractionating columns are the core of all primary oil refining process units. The Company fractionates oil to produce high-quality refined products with very specific characteristics. This process takes place in the columns.
Columns K-1, K-2 and K-3 are special high-technology equipment. The height of K-1 is 28.5-metre, with 3.2-metre-diameter, and assembled weight of about 70 tons. K-2 rises 42-metre above the ground, with 3.8-metre-diameter, and its assembled weight is about 140 tons. Column K-3 is 30.5-metre high, 1.6-metre-diameter, weighting 39 tons.
Supervised by specialists, the columns were installed in 5 days with the help of 14 people and two cranes with lifting capacity of 200 and 500 tons.
The launch of AT-6 is scheduled for the end of 2020.
