Over the weekend, K-1 distillation column weighing more than 60 tons was delivered to the construction site of Ilsky Refinery.
Large-sized equipment with a height of 28.5 m and a diameter of 3.2 m arrived from Penza, where it was manufactured at the Penzkhimmash enterprise specifically for a new technological unit ELOU AT-6.
Fractionating columns are the core of all primary oil refining process units. The Company fractionates oil to produce high-quality refined products with very specific characteristics. This process takes place in the columns.
K-1 is intended to prepare and purify crude (condensate) from hydrocarbon gases, as well as to unload the main atmospheric column K-2, which will be delivered to the Refinery in the nearest future. Earlier, column K-3 arrived at the construction site, made for a sharp separation of hydrocarbon fractions. ⠀
Construction of AT-6 primary oil refining unit is being carried out in strict accordance with environmental legislation. Modern technologies will be applied, which will ensure reliable and safe operation of the equipment.
